Is anyone else other than me appalled by the interpretation of "Sherlock Holmes"?

Yeah, I saw the preview and found myself thinking , since when was Sherlock Holmes an action hero? Although i haven't read the original series I never envisioned him as what he appears in the movie. Then again, if the producers and director of this movie expect to make large amounts of money what else can they do but add "witty one-liners, explosions, ual innuendo and basic stupidity". It's a shame but it's true.
