Has anyone had a good experience with H & R Block??

I went today to do my taxes there. The guy was so strange. When he got my ssn he went out to his car and brought back some kind of object..He was going to charge me $136 at first just for doing the simple form..then he said he would do me a favor and only charge $106. He didn't try to get me to use the green card..but he had me sign something that said I would get $15 if I got someone else to go to H&R Block and they would get $15 taken off their charge. The funny thing is the name of the person who was supposed to receive the $15 was a Martha.. someone else. He said it was a friend of his he wanted to do a favor for.. Help me..
