Why can't I use Sulfuric Acid as a deicer?

Sulfuric Acid added to water is severely exothermic. If I add sulfuric acid to ice, it would melt very fast compared to salt. Also, Sulfuric acid can be diluted cheaper than salt. Cheaper and faster, why not use it? The remaining acid that didn't vaporize could be neutralized using a strong base.
