Why does online videos skip on my laptop but not my main computer?

I was watching a video (tv episode) online on the CW, on my labtop and it always skips. This doesnt accur on ABC channels or NBC. I went on my main computer to check to see if it was just the website, and it isn't. The episode comes in perfectly on the main computer can anybody help me this is driving me crazy.
