What is the easiest way to detect presence of (unwanted) methanol in alcoholic beverages?

Can someone please explain the simplest procedure for detecting unwanted, higher than normal (toxic), methanol presence in distilled alcoholic beverages like: brandy, rum, whiskey, vodka etc.?
